Boris is a Danish award-winning filmmaker, teacher, keynote speaker, producer and partner in Good Company Pictures. Educated at the National Film School of Denmark as a documentary director in 2005. He is the creator of award-winning, international documentaries, sold to more than 30 countries and selected for international film festivals like Hot Docs, Camden, CPH:DOX and The International Film Festival Rotterdam.

 

Furthermore, he has directed a variety of tv-series for the National Danish Television DR1 and TV2. On top of that he has a Master Degree in social psychology and communication at

Roskilde University in 2000.

 

Boris Bertram has worked closely with Lars Von Trier and Jorgen Leth on the documentaries

The Five Obstructions and The Erotic Man as an assistant director at Zentrop Real.

Along the side of Good Company Pictures, he has directed ‘The Human Shelter’ (Copenhagen Architecture festival) and ‘Photographer of War’, one of the most watched documentary in Danish cinemas (nominated for Danish Academy Awards, Nordic Panorama).

 

As a director he has a global outlook and a keen interest on international politics, conflict resolutions, humanitarianism and art. Boris Bertram was supported by The Danish Arts Council in 2011 and 2015, and received an official invitation to become a member of The European Film Academy in February 2020.
